Edinburgh Yarn Festival - A great way to keep warm

It is now the beginning of March and Spring is here. However if you are like me and many others in the Scottish Borders you probably haven't noticed. Stuck in the house as the Beast from the East has brought inch after inch of snow I have been snuggled up warm in the house and to alleviate boredom I have gone back to my knitting. As a knitting novice I jump in and out of my knitting bag. Every now and then I just feel a desire to wear something woolly that I have created myself.... I am yet to finish a pattern.

Visitors come from all over the world to sample the knitting delights a few have popped into our ScotlandShop store on Queensferry Street. We are only 15 minutes away from the main venue in the west end of central Edinburgh. So if you are coming to town for the festival this year please come and say hello and pass on some of your knitting tips. We can tell you all about the history of our tartans and lovely woollen products. We have lots of tartan remnant bags and fat quarters for your creations. And you never know I might have actually finished knitting something to show you by then, well maybe if this snow doesn’t go away!
