A popular trend that has returned for 2021 is colour blocking. The style of wearing two or three complimentary colours in the same outfit can create a daring look, but this year, it’s definitely time to be bold! Popular colours as seen on the Gucci Fall Winter 2020 catwalk is blue and green – ideal for stepping into some Douglas tartan! For the ladies, go for a Douglas Modern tartan mini skirt and matching jacket. TrendSpotter.net explains that boyfriend blazers are popular for 2021;

To mix up this look, add a Baird chunky knit scarf in similar shades of blue and green.
I recommend going for the Douglas Ancient for the gentlemen to create a subtle spring colour blocked look. Taking inspiration from the catwalk, combine a lilac sweater with paler Douglas Ancient trousers and matching tie. This look is fresh and vibrant – a welcome change to the dreary winter!
Another stunning option for both men and women is an all grey look! The minimalist colour scheme is an easy elegant and sleek throw-on look. Done right, it can look very luxurious! The trick is to layer different tones of grey, combining texture and solid colour with tartan for depth and interest in your outfit.
