Haggis Hunt: Identifying the Lowland Haggis' Habitat

We mentioned last week that our long suffering Auryn had stumbled across some old video tapes in the ScotlandShop attic, seemingly episodes of an old documentary series detailing haggis hunting in the Lammermuir Hills. Well, it is my great pleasure to announce that the first video has been restored and returned to us and it does not disappoint in the slightest.
Identifying the Lowland Haggis Habitat
The first video we have received back is titled "Identifying the Lowland Haggis Habitat." In it we can see the presenter in the company of two young lads who are busy pointing out some of the telltale signs that the lowland haggis has made its home in the area. Signs ranging from strangely disturbed vegetation and loose dirt to distinctive faeces let the two lads know that they are in haggis country. Why don't I just put a sock in it for now, I always ramble on when I'm excited, and let you watch it for yourselves?
A Distinct Species?
The video seems to confirm what has long been believed in the Borders; that the Lowland haggis is distinct from its Highland cousin. The narrator was pretty clear that the Lowland haggis differs from the Highland variety in a number of ways, including in the arrangement of its legs and its height, perhaps its diminutive stature could be responsible for it being so rarely seen?
A game of Marbles?
The video also mentions a now dead tradition practiced by local children, I won't go into too much for now, my disposition is too delicate for such talk, I mean really! You've seen the video right? Children are absolutely disgusting, but enough of that for now, suffice it to say that I will not be acquiescing to any local children's requests to play marbles any time soon!
