ScotlandShop Tartan Warriors survive Quadrathlon

Quadrathlon 2011 017

Last weekend the ScotlandShop Tartan Warriors team took up the ultimate challenge, Scotland's toughest multi-discipline endurance event the Artemis Great Kindrochit Quadrathlon. The boss and her nutty friend Gail swam across Loch Tay, climbed seven Munros, Kayaked back to Ardtalnaig and topped it off by cycling 34 miles round Loch Tay. Yes of course we wore our tartan caps so there was no mistaking our heritage. Anna claims all the training has kept her sane and all those hours of running and cycling round the Borders roads in training has allowed time to dream up new ideas for the Autumn/Winter tartan collection and work out how to make our service even slicker. The best bit about the Quadrathlon along with the excellent organisation and lovely Scottish welcome everyone gave us was slicing the watermelon in half with a genuine Scottish claymore ....a great end to 15 hours and 33 minutes of non-stop effort! The views from the top of the Ben Lawers and Ptarmigan ridges were amazing and almost worth the climb. Fortunately the mist lifted once we reached the 2nd Munro so we were able to appreciate the Scottish highlands in all their glory. Most importantly the ScotlandShop team raised almost £1000 for Mercy Corps and Mary's Meals. Now that the boss has shown the lead which challenge is the rest of the staff taking on next??
