Wool Plaid Golf Knickers Sizing Guide

Wool Plaid Golf Knickers for the true gentleman of the golf course. We use a pure wool fabric woven in Scotland to make your plus fours so we can offer them in over 500 tartans. Our plaid golf knickers close at the knee with velcro adjustable so they are comfortable and won't limit your golf swing.

To ensure that you get the perfect fit, be sure to follow our measuring tips and advice:

For the most accurate measurements, use a tailors tape measure and have a friend or family member measure for you. Ensure you have nothing in any of your pockets and that you stand tall and relaxed while getting measurements taken. All measurements should be provided in centimetres or inches.

Waist - 'Measure around the body at the position you would like the trouser waistband to sit. Pull the tape measure as tight or as loose as you would like the trouser waist to fit. Ensure the tape measure is straight across the front and back of the body.'

Seat- 'Measure around the widest part of the bottom, ensuring the tape measure is straight across the front and back of the body.'

Inside Leg - Measure up inside the leg, as high as the tape measure will comfortably go, down to the desired plus fours hem. We suggest a standard length of 60cm/23.5 inches

The Fabric

We use 100% wool tartan fabric woven in the UK to make your wool plaid Golf Knickers. This fabric is dry clean only and is the perfect weight for men's trousers.

Our plaid golf knickers are one of our best selling products and are a great combination of traditional Scottish manufacturing and modern style. We cut them in a more casual style than traditional golf knickers so you can move freely and they fasten with velcro below the knee which allows you to adjust them for comfort. A zip and button fastening, belt loops, 2 side pockets and one hip pocket finish them off. As standard we make the tartan plus fours to a 23.5 inch inside leg. We can make to order in any length. Just click the Choose Custom Tartan button to select your tartan then enter your measurements. Please note that sizes over a 44 inch waist will incur a surcharge of $17.

How to care for your tartan Golf Knickers

Properly cared for your golf Knickers will last for generations. This is a pure wool fabric and should be dry cleaned only. Wool fabric can become dull with general dust and dirt. Gentle brushing with a garment brush will brighten them up again.
