Top fashion designer Henry Holland has gone all Caledonian in his Autumn Winter collection for 2011. Although Holland is not Scottish and actually hails from Lancashire he credits his initial success in the fashion industry to his love of Scottish culture and in 2008 was the winner of the Scottish Fashion Awards "Best use of tartan" prize. This season House of Holland again showed their love of heritage fabrics using seven of their own tweeds developed with a factory in Harris. Tessa Hartmann, founder of the Scottish Fashion Awards, says of Holland "He's young, edgy and inspirational. It's incredible to see so many high profile design houses like Henry Holland using our precious fabrics." We love the way he combines traditional fabrics with high fashion. We look forward to unveiling our very own Scottish tweed range for Autumn Winter very soon. Using Harris tweed and another range of tweeds woven locally here in the Scottish Borders we will have jackets, skirts, boots and bags which will certainly catch your eye.
