We may not have set out to supply the car restorers and upholsters of this world but we have over time become fairly expert on the subject, so when the Scottish Car Show comes to Ingliston, just outside Edinburgh, this Sunday we get a little bit excited.

The organisers state: "From hot rods and vintage motors through to modified hot hatches and on to JDM imports, American Muscle and supercars - we want as wide a range of cars on display as possible and we're not going to forget motorcycles either" so we are looking forward to seeing a whole host of vehicles, young and old, not to mention trying to spy some tartan upholstery. The Show features a supercars area where you can strap yourself in and pretend one of these beautiful machines is your own. The fleet consists of a Ferrari, Lamborghini, Aston Martin, Porsche, Audi R8 and the amazing Ford Mustang GT.

Porsche has been a favourite of ours this year when we were involved with Gregory Galiffi from Canal + in France as they restored a vintage Porsche ready for the Tour Auto in April. Nicolas from Machine Revival did the work on the car and came over all the way from France to film the fabric being made and choose just the right colour to match the paintwork. Don't you love that green? They chose the Ross Hunting Ancient tartan which co-ordinated beautifully with the interior leather as well as the exterior colour.
