From actors and actresses to football mangers and fashion gurus, Clan Gunn are a very talented bunch. Join us as we explore a few of the most famous faces from April's Clan of the Month.

Anna Gunn

Anna Gunn is an American actress, best known for her role as Skylar White in the hit TV series Breaking Bad. Born on the 11th of August, 1968, in Cleveland Ohio, she moved to Santa Fe, New Mexico at a young age. She studied Theatre at Northwestern University, where she had the opportunity to spend a semester abroad at the British American Drama Academy in London.

She won the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series in 2013 and 2014 for her role in Breaking Bad. Gunn also appeared in the TV series, The Practice, Deadwood, Seinfeld and Six Feet Under. Alongside her glittering TV career, Gun also appeared in several hit movies, including, Enemy of the State, Without Evidence and Red State.

Anna Gunn was married to Scottish Actor and real-estate broker, Alastair Duncan from 1990 to 2009. The couple have two children together.

Tim Gunn

Tim Gunn is an American fashion consultant, television personality, actor, voice actor and author. Born on the 29th of July, 1953, in Washington D.C., Gunn attended the Corcoran College of Art and Design, receiving a Bachelor of Fine Arts in sculpture. Tim was a member of the faculty of Parsons School of Design from 1982 to 2007 and served as the Chair of Fashion Design from 2000 to 2007.

Gunn rose to fame on the show Project Runway, where he was the on-air mentor to the designers across 16 seasons of the show. Alongside Project Runway, Gunn has appeared in several TV shows including Ugly Betty, Family Guy, How I Met Your Mother and Bojack Horseman.

Today, he lives in Manhattan and is known to be an outspoken critic of clothing designs using animal fur, working with PETA in 2008 in a campaign against the use of fur in the fashion industry.

James Gunn

James Gunn is an American filmmaker and musician. Born on the 5th of August, 1966, in St Louis, Missouri, he began his career as a screenwriter in the mid-1990s. One of five siblings, he is the older brother of actor Sean Gunn. He founded the band 'The Icons' in 1989, serving as the band's lead singer. The band released one album before disbanding in the mid-1990s, but Gunn continued to pursue his love of music, composing songs for the films, Scooby-Doo, Scooby-Doo 2 Monsters Unleashed, and Movie 43.

Gunn earned a Bachelor of Arts at St Louis University and graduated as a Master of Fine Arts from Columbia University in 1995. Although he started as a screenwriter, Gunn soon began directing and producing hit movies. Gunn has written and directed several super-hero films, including Super, Guardians of the Galaxy and Guardians of the Galaxy 2. He has also helped to produce Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame.

James was married to actress Jenna Fischer from 2000 to 2008 and has been in a relationship with Jennifer Holland since 2015.

Sean Gunn

Sean Gunn is an American actor from St Louis, Missouri. Born on the 22nd of May, 1974, he is the younger brother of director, James Gunn. Gunn graduated from DePaul's University in 1996, with a degree in theatre. He has appeared in several of his sibling's films, including Guardians of the Galaxy and Avengers: Endgame. Gunn is also known for his recurring role in Gilmore Girls where he played the character, Kirk Gleeson. He has been married to actress Natasha Halevi since 2019.

Sir Bobby Robson

Born on the 18th of February 1933 in County Durham, Sir Bobby Robson was an English footballer and football manager. His illustrious career included periods playing for and managing the English National Team, and being a UEFA Cup-winning manager with Ipswich Town. Although he may not have the surname Gunn, Robson is in fact a sept of Clan Gunn with the clan being established by the son of a Gunn chief.

Robson was an inside forward or second striker, with a career spanning nearly 20 years. He played for three different clubs, Fulham, West Bromwich Albion and briefly Vancouver Royals. Robson also made 20 appearances for England, scoring four goals.

Following his playing career, he ha great success as a manager at both club and international level. Robson won league championships in both the Netherlands and Portugal, whilst earning trophies in England and Spain. As an international manager, he led England to the semi-finals of the 1990 World-Cup, which was their best run since winning in 1966. This feat was matched in the 2018 World Cup, with Gareth Southgate's team reaching the semi-final against Croatia. Robson was knighted in 2002 and inducted into the English Football Hall of Fame in 2003.

From 1991 onwards, Robson battled cancer. He created the Sir Bobby Robson Foundation in March 2008, a cancer research charity, which had raised over 12 million pounds by 2018. With his cancer being confirmed terminal in August 2008, Robson said: “My condition is described as static and has not altered since my last bout of chemotherapy…I am going to die sooner rather than later. But then everyone has to go sometime and I have enjoyed every minute.” He sadly passed away just under a year later, on the 31st of July 2009 at the age of 76.
