The White Heather Ceilidh Club

ScotlandShop is proud to partner with one of Scotland's most loved ceilidh nights, The White Heather Club, bringing a free monthly evening of Scottish music, dancing and community to the heart of Edinburgh.

Held at Bonnie & Wild in St James Quarter, the Ceilidh Club welcomes everyone, whether you're a seasoned dancer who knows every step or a complete beginner looking to experience a traditional Scottish ceilidh for the first time. With live music from the acclaimed Charlie Kirkpatrick Trio and friendly dance callers guiding you through each dance, you'll be birling, twirling and whirling around the floor in no time.

Best of all, the event is completely free and open to all ages and abilities.

As co-sponsors since 2023, the ScotlandShop team is at every event, helping visitors discover more about Scotland's rich tartan and clan heritage. Browse our collection of swatch books featuring over 500 tartans, explore your family connections on our clan map, and chat with our team about finding your clan, district or personal tartan.

Each month we also bring along something a little different, from our famous Tartan Throne for memorable photographs to kilts and tartan accessories for visitors to try on and experience for themselves.

For those who fully embrace the spirit of the ceilidh, there are prizes awarded to the champion dancers throughout the evening, including ScotlandShop gift vouchers and a few special surprises.
