The White Heather Club's Fringe Ceilidh

The White Heather Ceilidh Club
August 13th - 13th 2026 - 07:30 P.M.
Event Address: St James Quarter Fourth Floor, 415-417 St James Square, Edinburgh EH1 3AE

Join us at Bonnie & Wild in Edinburgh's St James Quarter on Thursday 13 August as we get birling, twirling and whirling at the White Heather Club's Fringe Ceilidh.

One of the Fringe's biggest free ceilidhs, it's a night of live music, Scottish country dancing, laughter and friendship. Charlie Kirkpatrick and the White Heather Club will lead you through favourites including the Dashing White Sergeant, Orcadian Strip the Willow and the Gay Gordons. Never been to a ceilidh before? Don't worry, Scottish presenter Caroline Blair will be calling out the steps so everyone can join in.

When you need a break from the dance floor, visit the ScotlandShop team to discover your Scottish roots with our Clan & Tartan Finder. Browse over 500 authentic Scottish tartans, explore the stories behind them and let us help you find the tartan that's uniquely yours.

The dancing starts at 7.30pm and continues until around 10.30pm.

Entry is free, FREE, but you are kindly invited to make a donation to the Fringe Society, or pick up a ticket to the afterparty in the W Lounge, (£15, donated to the Fringe Society, includes free drink).

Whether you're a seasoned ceilidh dancer or trying it for the first time, it's a fantastic way to experience Scottish culture at the heart of the Edinburgh Fringe.
