Glamourmagazine.co.uk is calling shades of a green a must have for autumn/winter ’21, so you can’t go far wrong with either of the Hunter tartans;

If you’re like me and slowly venturing out into the world again for dinners and events but aren’t fully ready to let go of the comfortable dressing of lockdown, try layering cosy cable knit sweaters and trainers for a relaxed daytime outfit.

For catwalk inspiration, I’ve looked to Dior’s Autumn/Winter 2019 show where green checks paired with black stole the runway. Classic winter jackets in deep greens and matching hats and bags made a bold statement, but the solid black dresses, skirts and tops kept the looks wearable and toned down. The deeper colours of the Hunter Modern are perfect to replicate these moody autumn outfits, and most of us already have black garments hanging in the wardrobe, so this is an easy trend to create without buying new from head to toe! Opt for a Hunter tartan to match the coat will create a put together look and adds a practical element to your outfit.

For the gentlemen, GQ say kilts are the way forward for autumn/winter ’21:

“This season, the world's most prominent menswear designers have put skirts, kilts, tunics …at the centre of their AW21 collections. At Louis Vuitton, Virgil Abloh sent out a series of models wearing A-line kilted skirts over trousers…When it comes to wearing your own skirt, kilt or tunic, we recommend opting for something that sits just below the knee, finished with a pleat for added texture. And, given it's winter, you're probably best opting for a style cut from wool, cashmere or tweed. Things are liable to get a bit breezy down there, after all”

As the weather changes and becomes cooler, a casual kilt with a tonal sweater worn in a laid back way is on trend as well as being comfortable and functional. A boots will finish off your look perfectly, with a day sporran in black leather to solve the issue of no pockets!
