Yes, plaid purses are fashionable and can be a stylish way to incorporate Scottish heritage into your outfit. Our plaid purses and wallets should be handled and stored with care in order to keep its appearance and ensure it lasts for many years. 100% wool plaid fabric is used in the making of the purses, spot cleaning with a mild wool detergent and cold water is recommended but you should avoid harsh scrubbing which can damage the natural fibres. Wool fabric can become dull with general dust and dirt, gentle brushing with a lint brush will remove this and brighten it up again.
If your handbag has leather components, treat them regularly with a leather conditioner to keep the material supple (make sure you avoid getting this on the tartan) Always store your tartan handbag in a cool, dry place, ideally in a dust bag to protect it from sunlight, moths and moisture, which can fade and ruin the material over time.
Always consult a professional cleaner or laundrette for any stains or when a deep cleaning is required.
