About Our Burns Night Outfits, Table Decorations & Gifts

Celebrate Burns Night in authentic tartan style with our range of Burns Night outfits and gifts, made here in Scotland. We have put together everything you need to host or attend a Burns supper including decorations, tableware, clothing, accessories and gifts.

Burns Night Outfits

Whether you are attending a more formal Burns Supper that requires Highland dress or simply looking to add a touch of plaid to your outfit we have a vast collection available in over 500 plaids.

Ā

Men's Burns Night Attire

Highland Dress is traditionally worn by men at formal Burns suppers. Traditional highland wear for men consists of a plaid kilt with a sporran, a dress shirt with a tie or bow tie, a Prince Charlie jacket, and brogues with kilt socks and sgian dubh. Alternatively, many men opt for plaid trews (pants) with a dress shirt and tweed argyll jacket or matching suit jacket for a more modern look.

Ā

If traditional highland dress is not required, it is easy to simply add just a splash of plaid to your outfit with our Burns Night accessories for men. A tartan tie or scarf allows you to proudly display some plaid without too much effort and our plaid cufflinks provide a subtle way of wearing some plaid while remaining smart.

Ā

Ladies Burns Night Attire

When attending a Burns supper, the most traditional option for ladies is a kilted skirt. Our kilted skirts look lovely paired with a blouse and accessorised with a plaid sash or brooch for a more traditional style.Ā

Ā

A plaid dress is another option for the ladies that can be dressed both formal and informal depending on the chosen style of dress and how you accessorise it. If you want to steer away from the traditional, a plaid jacket is another versatile option that can be worn with either plaid or block colour dresses, skirts or trousers - the choice is yours!Ā

Ā

Looking for something a little more informal still? You can add a touch of plaid to your outfit with our ladies plaid accessories for Burns Night. An accessory such a plaid sash, pin, plaid shoes or purses allows you to be a little more understated while still giving a nod to tradition.
