Our tartan team is heading to the Breadalbane Scottish Gathering & Games, which takes place on the 25th May! Come along to find your Clan tartan and celebrate your Scottish heritage this Spring. We will be there with swatch books full of over 500 Scottish and Irish tartans, with samples of all our products and plenty to tempt you with, tape measures at the ready for custom-made and tailored garments.
The Games will take place in the village of Broadalbin, New York, and the village name derives from the Breadalbane region in Scotland, with links back to the MacDonalds of Glencoe and Campbells of Argyle and Breadalbane. At an early date Peter Robertson, a Scot and relative of the McIntyres, settled on a farm on the Ridge in the southern part of the town, his son James was long prominent and influential in advancing the welfare of the community, and his grandson, Archibald, one of Broadalbin’s most respected citizens, still owns the old estate. What a fabulous history to provide a backdrop to the traditions of a Scottish Games.
