Those of you familiar with Tartan Ted will know he is one of the cutest members of our team and available in over 500 tartans. When Musselburgh Racecourse approached us to join them for a touch of tartan on New Year's Day we knew he would love to go along.
Musselburgh tartan tedFor those of you not familiar with Musselburgh Racecourse, this 5-star visitor attraction just 6 miles from Edinburgh city centre is a great day out whatever the time of year.New Year's day is a very special day and features not only horse racing but also hosts one of the most historic athletic events in the world, the New Year Sprint. Musselburgh_RacecourseThis will be the 149th time this race has been run, held annually in Scotland on or around New Year's Day since 1870. The prize money is £4000, the race is over 110m and the athletes are both amateur and professional with a handicap starting system, so no excuses this is a race you could enter next year whatever your age, sex or ability.
