Throughout the month of October we have been celebrating all things Clan Mackintosh. We have met some famous faces, visited many sites, and gained great insight into the history of this ancient clan. Finally, we called upon the valued Clan members to share their stories and we had a lovely response; read the blog to find out more!

Brownie Macintosh's Tartan and Music
Brownie sent us his fabulous photo proudly wearing his MacIntosh tartan! He says:
"I believe I was at a Burns Luncheon, in Brunswick, Maine, probably in 2019 or so, (before covid). I always enjoy the Scottish celebrations, and proudly showing my Macintosh tartans!"
When we found out Brownie was part of The Julie & Brownie Show we asked him to share more about his musical talents!
"I am retired now, but for 50 years was a touring musician and internationally published songwriter. I wrote songs for "The Kingston Trio" and "The Irish Rovers" to mention a couple, (not sure if you are old enough to remember them) and I have a gold record on my wall. I play several instruments, mainly guitar, banjo, mandolin and voice. The Julie & Brownie show was born shortly after my son was, and I decided to give up night clubs and write/perform songs of positive thought for children and families to grow on. (Sorry I took my website down shortly after retiring). We had a lot of fun travelling through about 11 states performing our all original shows. I met a lot of people and saw places I might never have seen otherwise. I also wrote, produced and arranged well over 100 commercial radio/TV jingles."
Sounds like an amazing career, Brownie!
Vicki Crocker's MacIntosh Grandmother
Vicki got in touch and sent in her lovely photos of her, her husband and grandchildren all wearing their beautiful MacIntosh Hunting Modern tartan.
Vicki also mentioned her Grandmother was a MacIntosh and shared some more photos and information about her:
"Myrtle (Myrtie) Esther MacIntosh was born in 1888 in eastern Pottawatomie county in eastern Kansas. She traveled by covered wagon with her family to homestead in western Kansas near Winona KS. She married Henry Jacob Stover who owned the bank in Pond Creek OK. She was my father’s mother.
I have attached a picture of the MacIntosh Clan history and one of the coat of arms of MacIntosh & Crocker (my husband’s family coat of arms)."
Frederick McIntosh's Sons' Weddings
Frederick sent us these gorgeous wedding photos! He officiated the weddings for each of his three sons, proudly wearing his MacIntosh tartan. Doesn't he look great!
Unfortunately October has come to an end, that certainly doesn't mean our love for Clan Mackintosh is over, so be sure to get in touch with us if you fancy chatting all things Mackintosh!
