Your tartan shirt dress is made to measure and available in over 500 Scottish clan tartans. You choose the length of your tartan shirt dress; above the knee for summer style, or midi or knee length for more coverage. Please note, the shirt dress is unlined therefore we recommend choosing a lightweight (10oz) tartan for a more comfortable wear, though some tartans are only available in a heavier weight fabric (14oz).

The shirt dress has been around for a long time, evolving from the original utility dress inspired by men's military shirts, with button-down fronts, collars and belted waists. Your shirt dress will be in tartan but these originals were mainly made in cotton or rayon. The shirt dress evolved to a more streamlined shape in the 1960s, often worn above the knee and in bold graphic patterns, before hitting the 1980s where the fashion for bold shoulders and power dressing made the shirt dress a more structured style. The 2000s brought more tailored and transitional shirt dresses and a wider range of fabrics from denim to silk. We are delighted to bring you our modern take on the shirt dress made in our beautiful tartans woven in Scotland.

Returns Process 

We hope you love your parcel from Scotland; however, we do understand that sometimes you might need to return or exchange items.

For stock products we have a 30 day, no quibble return policy, this also applies to sale items and in store purchases. Items must be unworn, with labels attached. Simply fill in the authorisation form here we will confirm the address for you to send it back to us.

Custom made or personalised goods are non-returnable unless the item is faulty or made to incorrect measurements. You must give us the opportunity to adjust, repair or replace faulty or incorrect items before you can claim a refund. We are also unable to accept returns on cut lengths of fabric and we advise ordering swatches prior to ordering large quantities of fabric if you want to check colours and quality.
