ScotlandShop is coming to Canada

We're delighted to announce that ScotlandShop is heading to Toronto!

ScotlandShop Canada

Over the past 24 years, our journey has taken us from the Scottish Borders to Edinburgh and Perthshire, across the Atlantic to New York, and now we're incredibly excited to bring ScotlandShop to the Great White North!

Canada has always held a special place in our hearts, and through our Canadian Tartan Tours, Highland Games and pop-up events over the years, we've loved meeting so many wonderful customers and sharing our passion for tartan and Scottish heritage.

Now we're taking the next exciting step and establishing a permanent home in Canada, making it the third country and fifth location in the ScotlandShop family!

Where in Canada?

We're delighted to have revealed that Toronto will be our new Canadian home! But that's all we're sharing for now...

We're keeping the exact location under wraps for just a little longer, but we'll be revealing more very soon.

Tartans Linked to Canada

Maple Leaf Tartan Highland Dress

Canadian Tartans

Canada has a wonderful connection to tartan, with designs representing provinces, territories, cities and communities, each with its own story to tell. Perhaps the best known is the Maple Leaf Tartan, designed by David Weiser in 1964 ahead of Canada's centennial celebrations. Inspired by the changing colours of the maple leaf throughout the seasons, it became an official national symbol in 2011.

Across Canada, tartans celebrate the landscapes, history and traditions of different regions, with colours inspired by everything from coastlines, forests and mountains to local wildlife, industries and communities.
