Throughout April we have been celebrating all things Clan Smith. We have met some famous faces, visited many sites, and gained great insight into the history of this ancient clan. Finally, we called upon the valued Clan members to share their stories and we have had a few great stories; read the blog to find out more!

Cat and Hugh Smith
We love this photo Cat sent in of her husband, Hugh! She says,
"Every year my husband, a proud Scot, wears his Smith tartan as a Great Kilt to the Abbey Medieval Festival in Caboolture, Queensland. I've attached a photo. When he wears it he stands straighter and prouder."
Dan Smith
Dan also sent in this great photo of the Clan Smith Society USA tent. He says,
"Here is a picture from the Stone Mt. Scottish Games from 2007! I was the treasurer of the Clan Smith Society USA back in the 1990's to 2010. We did most of the games in the south from Glasgow, Kentucky to Florida with Grandfather Mt. and Stone Mt. Ga. in between."
Reed and Karen Smith
Karen sent in these wonderful photos! She says,
"This is Reed Smith, of Wellesley, MA. He wanted full Scottish regalia for the My Peak Challenge gala that we were planning to attend in Edinburgh in 2022. Our friend MaryBeth Sheetz got a notification that ScotlandShop announced they would be in Boston the winter before, so we went with her and ordered the kilt, flashes, ties and a cap. When we got to Scotland, we went to the shop on Queensferry Street to pick it up. It needed an adjustment to the kilt, and everyone was so wonderfully responsive. He wore the cap all week while we toured in Skye. Our contingent from New England were thrilled to see him looking so dapper at the gala.
I've enclosed 2 more photos. The first one is of both of us in front of Dunvegan, with his cap.
The second is with our friend MaryBeth Sheetz, who is a big fan of your shop, and introduced us to you."
Unfortunately April has come to an end, that certainly doesn't mean our love for Clan Smith is over, so be sure to get in touch with us if you fancy chatting all things Smith!
