Magnificent MacDonald Tartan Style

MacDonalds! Today I share my style tips for embracing our December clan of the month into your wardrobe.

As I am a huge lover of bright colours, what better autumn winter ’21 trend to start with than ‘Crayola brights’? Wear-Next.com says of this major colour scheme;

“Every year dark hues dominate for Autumn Winter but Crayola brights stole the AW21 shows, with neon featuring heavily at Balmain, Roksanda, Prada, Versace and Bottega Veneta. After 18 months of loungewear, expect to see colour covering everything, from head-to-toe.”

Complete your winter look with much needed cosy accessories! A heeled ankle boots or make your outfit wearable daily with warm fur lined boots.

For the gentlemen this month, I’ve taken inspiration from one of Pantone’s named colours for London Fashion Week AW21 – ‘Green Bee’ described as a ‘grassy green that perpetuates nature’. Where better to start looking for ideas than Louis Vuitton’s autumn winter 2021 collection where this green shade dominated the show. A staple piece across most of the looks was the wide leg trouser in a beautiful on-trend green. To recreate this, opt for the MacDonald of the Isles Hunting variation for something a little more toned down in colour). Choose a classic fit and go for a wide 19-inch hem to recreate the Louis Vuitton fit.

With something so bold, calm down your outfit by combining the tartan trousers with solid colours in camels and browns as seen on the catwalk, or even a navy or black. A simple flat cap!
