Anna loves a challenge, the incredible colours of our thousands of tartans, the communities and people we are lucky enough to work with and talk to every day, and everything about this ever changing business which allows us to share our beautiful country. She likes a bit of variety and is always interfering in everyone else’s jobs working out how to make things better, so email her your thoughts and ideas.

After many years working as a buyer in the fashion industry, Ann returned to the local area and much to her surprise, finds herself living back in her home town. Now working in customer service, she loves that she is still working in textiles and especially with quality products from Scotland.
When she’s not working Ann enjoys rediscovering the area where she grew up, spending time in her garden, although is yet to see any discernible results, getting lost in a good book and meals out with family and friends.

Alan heads up our Crieff team and is always ready to drop everything and go above and beyond to help a colleague or customer. He's a great believer in service with a smile. With over 25 years in the industry if he can't help you find the tartan or product you are looking for it is unlikely anyone can!
Born in Paisley, after moving around the country a lot when he was younger, Alan finally settled in Clackmannan, a scenic 45 minutes (on a good day) drive from Crieff. Married with two sons, when he eventually gets time away from the office he enjoys family days out, gaming, cinema, music of the rock variety and football.
He and his wife created a tartan to use for their wedding in 2005 although they never officially registered it.
Andrea was born and raised in Upstate New York, and has a great love for her Scottish roots. With a lifelong interest in clothing, textiles and their manufacturing processes, she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Apparel Design & History. She joined the Tartan team with 10+ years of retail management experience, and you can find her in our Albany store or out and about at events in the region.
Outside of work, Andrea enjoys family time, her cats, and attending music festivals and concerts with friends. Her favourite activity, since childhood, is the very Scottish sport of curling! She is usually on the ice at her beloved curling club at least four days a week during the winter months, in addition to also volunteering there during bonspiels.

Originally from the Midlands, Becky fell in love with the Borders area after spending her summer holidays near Grantshouse and getting married in Ayton Church, with the wedding party all in The Flower of Scotland tartan. In between work and family life you will find Becky pottering around in the garden growing veggies and flowers from seeds.
While her kids keep her on her toes at home, work allows her to go back to her creative early college years where her passion for textiles and tailoring began. Extensive experience in customer service and shipping means she is totally at home working in ScotlandShop’s customer service and operations teams.
A true border reiver, Cara is another of our 2023 apprentices and has lived in the Scottish Borders all her life (which she says she wouldn't ever change!). Originally from Ayr, I grew up in Kingston, Canada, but spent many summers in Scotland with my family, keeping our Scottish roots strong. I’m a former competitive snare drummer with a love for Highland games and all things Scottish culture. My eye for quality fabrics and heritage style was shaped by years of discovering hidden gems in local charity shops, especially Harris Tweed jackets! With retail and styling experience gained in high-end fashion, and a degree in International Relations, I’m passionate about combining sustainability with timeless design to support a slower, more thoughtful fashion industry.

Outside of work, John loves the huge open spaces in the Borders, the proximity to the beach and lots of opportunities to walk his crazy Spaniel dog.

Born and brought up in the village of Comrie near Crieff, Morag has worked in hospitality and retail for a number of years, and enjoys meeting people. Her tartan career started in 2000 selling Highland Dress Wear and in 2014 she joined the former House of Tartan, now our Crieff Shop.
Through her career Morag has kitted out many locals for school dances, weddings and new year celebrations from when they were small boys to in later years they would return to buy their own kilt outfits, some for their own weddings. At functions she's always trying to identify tartans. With her knowledge of clans and tartans Morag finds it rewarding when customers leave the shop delighted to find out they're affiliated or belong to a clan and have Scottish connections.
In her spare time Morag enjoys gardening, cycling and exploring new cycling paths, as well as spending time with her three grandchildren and walking in the hills through the heather looking for haggis!

A lifelong seamstress with a passion for historical fashion, don't be surprised if Morgan launches into a seminar if you ask her a simple question about tartan. Having found her niche in sales, she is thrilled to lead the team in the Edinburgh shop, so feel free to say hello and ask any questions you might have about Highlandwear. She can usually be found with a couple loose threads stuck to her and a stylish tape measure worn around her neck. In her free time she is hunched over her sewing machine or off on an adventure into the Highlands!

Nicknamed "money Neil" as we have too many Neil's these days, Neil looks after the Accounts at ScotlandShop, keeping us all straight and within budget. Neil's tea and coffee are definitely the strongest we have ever tasted, and his spreadsheet skills are equally powerful. Watch out for him on his bike pedaling around the Selkirkshire hills on a weekend, and keep the biscuits hidden as he does like a snack.
Neil's Clan: With links to Aberdeen & Berwickshire, Neil can't quite decide which tartan to choose for his kilt.
Nikki joined the Crieff Team (Formally House of Tartan Ltd) in 2014 after returning to Perthshire after 15 years living in the wilds of the Ardnamurchan Peninsula where she indulged in her passion for wildlife, history and hospitality. When she is not sharing her knowledge of Tartan, Clans, Scottish culture and history, she may be baking for friends and family (she started Cake Fridays) or increasing her understanding of Tartans, Clans, and Scotland when not giving the best customer experience she can. She aims for any visitor to Scotland to want to return for more and leave happy and satisfied with the best customer service they can be given.
