There is nothing so cute as a little boy in a kilt. Our boy's kilts are beautifully made in Scotland in a traditional kilt style, from a lightweight pure wool fabric and with over 500 Tartan options to choose from.
Our boy's kilts are made with a little bit of elastic in the back of the waistband and a one inch hem to make them last longer. Internal Velcro fastening with 1 buckle either side of the waist up to the age of 6-8, an additional hip buckle can be added on request.
Custom Made Express Kilts do not have elastic or Velcro.
Custom Made Standard Kilts have elastic and Velcro up to the size of 23 inch unless requested otherwise.

Kilts over waist size 27 inches or longer than length 20 inches need to be ordered as a Men's Casual Kilt.
A kilt is perfect for wedding attire and there are many things that can be paired with it to complete the outfit. When wearing a kilt you will need some kilt socks and flashes. A bow tie will be the cutest, as well as a smart, option with availability in over 800 tartans, and is easily adjustable to wear with a shirt. The most important pieces of clothing needed to be worn with a kilt are the jacket and waistcoat. Lastly, a pair of brogues to complete your kilt outfit and your child is ready to receive many compliments and attention.
In order to make sure your child’s kilt fits them perfectly and there are no issues we recommend booking an appointment to get it measured professionally. If you intend to take measurements yourself then there are three that need to be taken. You will need to use a measuring tape to take Waist, Hip and Length measurements. If you are needing a kilt for an occasion such as a wedding, there may be a specific tartan that the bride and groom have requested. To find this tartan simply select it in “Made To Order” tab to see if we have it. If you are unsure which tartan you would like or what the tartan is that belongs to your clan simply use our Tartan Finder. Here you will be able to enter Clan names or select the colours you would prefer and immediately get results. If in doubt, get in touch and we’d be happy to help you.
Here at ScotlandShop we source our tartan fabric directly from sustainable Scottish mills. Due to the high demand, we are unable to get all our wool locally and will receive some from other areas in the UK and Australia. The widest choice of our tartans is made from 100% wool, we do also stock cotton, polycotton, polyviscose and polywool in a much more limited range.

Approximate make-up time on Custom Made items are listed on the product page above the ‘Add to Basket’ button. If you need your items for a specific date please note this on your order within the ‘Order Notes’ section once you have added the item to your shopping basket.
In a hurry? Custom made items can sometimes be made up more quickly. Please note your deadline on the order and select Express Delivery. Should there be any problems meeting your deadline, our team will get in touch. There may be an express make-up fee to pay on items that need to be made up more quickly. Returns Process
We hope you love your parcel from Scotland; however, we do understand that sometimes you might need to return or exchange items.
For stock products we have a 30 day, no quibble return policy, this also applies to sale items and in store purchases. Items must be unworn, with labels attached. Simply fill in the authorisation form here we will confirm the address for you to send it back to us.
Custom made or personalised goods are non-returnable unless the item is faulty or made to incorrect measurements. You must give us the opportunity to adjust, repair or replace faulty or incorrect items before you can claim a refund. We are also unable to accept returns on cut lengths of fabric and we advise ordering swatches prior to ordering large quantities of fabric if you want to check colours and quality.
