Is a Prince Charlie Outfit too formal? Looking for a kilt outfit suitable for formal gatherings but also perfect where the style is perhaps a little more relaxed?
Our 8 yard kilt and tweed jacket and waistcoat outfit is beautiful for weddings, graduations and other formal events, but also for parties and celebrations where a softer, slightly more casual style is the order of the day.
At it's heart is our 8 yard kilt. The traditional Scottish kilt, with beautiful deep pleats and a spectacular swoosh and swing. Choose from more than 700 tartans and several different tartan weights. If you're in a hot climate, you might want to think about a lighter weight, if you want the ultimate Scottish kilt, the grandest of all kilts, choose a 16oz material. Made in Scotland of course, from tartan woven in Scotland.
Add our tweed jacket and waistcoat. With eight different colours and three different sleeve lengths, there's sure to be the right size and colour to suit your tartan. Also made in Scotland. Of course.
Add in a host of accessories with options to upgrade some elements if required. As you would expect, and not surprisingly, all made in Scotland.

Jacket, waistcoat and kilt are dry clean only, socks are machine washable.
Traditionally, a wedding kilt jacket would have been a black jacket, either a Prince Charlie or Argyll. There are still some more formal weddings that ask for black jackets, but requirements have become more relaxed in recent years and for most, a tweed jacket and waistcoat will be ideal and offers a beautiful amalgamation of comfort and style.

We understand that purchasing a kilt outfit is a considerable cost so all the elements in the outfit can be purchased as individual items, allowing you to build your outfit over several years.

If you need your items for a specific date please note this on your order within the ‘Order Notes’ section once you have added the item to your shopping basket.

Returns Process
We hope you love your parcel from Scotland; however, we do understand that sometimes you might need to return or exchange items.
For stock products we have a 30 day, no quibble return policy, this also applies to sale items and in store purchases. Items must be unworn, with labels attached. Simply fill in the authorisation form here we will confirm the address for you to send it back to us.
Custom made or personalised goods are non-returnable unless the item is faulty or made to incorrect measurements. You must give us the opportunity to adjust, repair or replace faulty or incorrect items before you can claim a refund. We are also unable to accept returns on cut lengths of fabric and we advise ordering swatches prior to ordering large quantities of fabric if you want to check colours and quality.
